Ever since its birth, EDIZIONI ARTESTAMPA has dedicated itself to projects of solidarity.
This initiative will involve the organisation of a series of moments of reflection on the activities of clinical and scientific research, and its objective is to collect funds from the sale of the volume, which will go to the Fondazione Legato Dino Ferrari (Dino Ferrari Legacy Foundation), section “Enzo e Dino Ferrari” of Modena, which has been involved in researching a cure for Muscular Dystrophy for over twenty-five years.
The section “Enzo e Dino Ferrari” of the U.I.L.D.M. (Unione Italiana Lotta alla Distrofia Muscolare - Muscular Dystrophy Italian Association), established by Enzo Ferrari, several sufferers of the condition and their families, officially began its activity in Modena in 1981, and over the years has become a point of reference for the fight against Muscular Dystrophy and for the social integration of the disabled person.
Thanks to the support of the Dino Ferrari Legacy Foundation, the solidarity and contributions from many groups and individuals, both public and private, today the foundation represents a veritable point of reference for many people, suffers and non-sufferers alike. In the health field, the foundation is active in genetics consultancy for families, the treatment of respiratory insufficiency and physiotherapy aimed at maintaining functional capacities. In the social and care provision fields, the foundation is involved in providing assistance for those suffering from muscular dystrophy and their families to promote independent living and the social integration of disabled people, also in collaboration with the public institutions.
The Dino Ferrari Legacy Foundation, established by Enzo Ferrari in memory of his son Dino who died in 1956 of a serious form of muscular dystrophy, is a charity with the aim of promoting research in the diagnosis and genetics of muscular dystrophy and to support initiatives aimed at providing assistance to those affected by the disease. The foundation is the concrete expression of Enzo Ferrari’s wish to fight a terrible disease and to find an effective cure once and for all. His commitment continues today thanks to the constant and tenacious presence of his son Piero Ferrari.
